Cecilia Iannandrea, born in 1995, is titular organist and maestro di cappella at the Basilicas of San Marco and Santa Maria Novella in Florence, she studied Organ and Composition at the conservatories of Benevento, with Antonio Varriano, and Naples, with Roberto Canali, and in Florence with Giovanni Clavorà Braulin and Federico Vallini. She has studied harpsichord with Anna Clemente and Vera Alcalay. She won a scholarship as harpsichordist accompanist at the Conservatorio Cherubini in Florence (a.y. 2020/2021). She won the scholarship as library assistant at the same conservatory for the academic years 2021/2022 and 2022/2023 and she won first prize for the category Organ in the World Grand Prix International Music contest (2023). She is currently researcher for Giunti Psychometrics in the European project "Virtual Stage - Distance Learning for the professional training in opera" [Reference No:2020-1-IT01-KA226-VET-008970 / Erasmus+ - Call for proposals 2020 / KA226 - Partnerships for Digital Education Readiness] on distance learning in professional training in opera. She has deepened her study of Gregorian chant and early 17th century chant by attending courses and master classes. She has attended, as an active student, masterclasses of renowned organists and harpsichordists such as Daniel Roth, Michael Radulescu, Jean Guillou, Bernard Winsemius, Henk Verhoef, Matteo Imbruno, Carlo Barbierato, Francesco Di Lernia, Giovanni Clavorà Braulin, Alessandra Artifoni. She has actively participated in numerous events and festivals organised by the Conservatory of Benevento and has performed organ and harpsichord concerts in Italy and abroad, also working as a continuist on organ and harpsichord, in collaboration with various ensembles, e.g. Ensemble degli Affetti, Les Vents Atlantiques, Lira Transalpina, Etruria Barocca, Semperconsort, Musica Antiqua del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Tisseur de Sons, Baroque Lumina with whom he recorded the CD 'Dreyer Sacred Music' (Brilliant Classics 2021), L'Armonia delle Cetre with whom he recorded the CD 'Tomaso Albinoni: Sonate a tre op. III (Da Vinci Classics 2022) and Ensemble San Felice, with whom he recorded the CDs "L'Incoronazione di Poppea" (Bongiovanni, 2020), "Orfeo" (Bongiovanni 2021) and "Il ritorno d'Ulisse in patria" (forthcoming Bongiovanni 2023) by Claudio Monteverdi. She performed in concert on the occasion of the restoration of the 'Carlo Rossi' organ from 1729 at Campinola di Tramonti (SA). She played and conducted on harpsichord the Ensemble Sacrae Musicae Novellae at the Basilica of Santa Maria Novella on the occasion of the restoration of the Last Supper by Plautilla Nelli (1580). She attended the universities of Naples and Florence, obtaining a master's degree in German Linguistic Studies with highest honours.
